Podcasting for schools
In this article Mr. Dave Jobbings exposes the Podcast with the question: can the podcasting phenomena be exploited within education? He shows us that there are so many possibilities and the imagination and creativity of teachers and learners could lead into an educational podcasting agenda in the future. He also focuses on three areas in which the podcast could be realized within schools:
a. Devising a cross-curricular activity
b. Providing alternative teaching approaches
c. Promoting and using personalised learning
Mr. Dave Jobbings also recognizes that it is worth considering the way in which pupils engaged in podcasting makes a positive contribution to the curriculum. He also teach us about the four key areas of knowledge, skills and understanding that are identified for teaching pupils:
